Fill the world with music love.

Keep memories of the music you love—quietly. Save what you saw at a show, or a feeling that flickered by in everyday life.

Chooning is a place to honor the time you spend with music.

Overview

What is Chooning?

Hands writing in an open notebook

It’s not built around buzz or view counts. It’s a notebook-like space where you can focus on your relationship with the music you love—jot something down on your phone, or add more from a browser on your desktop. Over time, your pages become a personal history of sound.

Highlights

What you can do

  • Portrait with headphones on a yellow backdrop
    01

    Face the music—and save it

Capture a song in the moment, or write more when you’re ready—even from a desktop browser. With Spotify connected, you can start a post from what you’ve been listening to. Posts are grouped by artist, and hashtags help you organize by show, venue, or your own themes.

  • Team collaborating around laptops
    02

Your time with music, in one place

Entries add up into a personal page you can search and revisit. Sort feelings with vibes without worrying how many people saw a post—the focus stays on the memory, not the metrics.

  • Headphones hanging on a wall
    03

    More ways into the music

Browse what others have written about tracks and artists, play or save songs on Spotify, and use watch, vibes, and comments when you want resonance—but the heart of Chooning is always between you and the music.

Message

Streaming gives us endless music on demand, yet songs can pass by before a feeling really settles. On social platforms, reactions and attention often become the yardstick, and words get pulled outward—away from the music itself.

Chooning isn’t trying to be the opposite of all that. We simply want to be one place where you don’t have to rush toward ratings or reach—where time and memory around music can stack up at your pace.

On mobile and web, we hope Chooning can be home for your love of music.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can other people see who I watch?

No. Your watchlist is only visible to you.

If someone watches me, will I know who they are?

No. For example, if you watch user A, user A will not be notified that you watch them.

Can I see how many people viewed my posts?

Chooning is not built around view counts or reach. We want you to focus on memories and resonance rather than metrics. (Features may change with updates.)

Can I make posts private?

Depending on your plan and app version, options such as private posts may be available. Check in-app help for the latest.

How are my posts organized?

Posts are grouped by artist automatically. Hashtags and vibes help you organize and revisit posts in your own way.

Can I post multiple tracks at once?

Yes. You can select several tracks and combine them into one post.

What does Spotify connection do? Can I use Chooning without Spotify?

Connecting Spotify makes it easier to post from what you’ve been listening to and to play or save tracks inline. You can still use Chooning’s core journaling and browsing without a Spotify account—see the app for what works without linking.

Can I use Chooning on both phone and desktop?

Yes—via the iOS/Android apps and in the browser on the web. Writing longer notes from a desktop browser works great.
